"Roman Cottage is the perfect place to go for any event - for us a chance to get away for a romantic break for two in this beautiful cottage. Rich and Lisa have thought of everything to make your stay one to enjoy and be thoroughly relaxed. Lovely quality bedding, huge bed, soft towel, goodies on arrival, all mod cons etc. the fireplace was a winner for us and perfect in the late afternoons and evenings - so cosy. The cottage is set in a quintessential English village but 20 minutes to travel to Bath City (bus takes you directly into the City), your own car or use of taxi in the village . We loved it so much much that we have used it twice and will use it again soon. The property is a true find. Thank you for a wonderful stay." Whilst our weather was glorious and we sat outside to eat, the comfortable sitting room with large sofa, chair, woodburning stove and tv would make a wonderful rainy day hideout. "We really enjoyed our stay at Roman Cottage. It has a lovely big bed, comfy sofa and good facilities. There were lots of nice touches, like biscuits, chocolate and prosecco on arrival that made it feel really special. It was spotlessly clean. "Roman Cottage is Bijou, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. It is situated down a quiet side road in the centre of the pretty village of Colerne. There were all the necessary furnishings, from soft towels to decent bed linen, a coffee machine and hairdryer, and we very much appreciated, that throughout the house there were all sorts of thoughtful extra touches provided, from milk in the fridge, biscuits and small chocolates, plenty of toilet rolls, and a basket of logs for the log burner. Check in and out was seamless with a code provided so we could let ourselves in at our convenience. There is a small shop nearby which stays open until 8 pm & two pubs in walking distance. The cottage is in a great location, close to the lovely pubs and small shop for the essentials, the addition of the wood burner was especially good (my dog didn’t want to leave the warm glow to go for a walk!!!). "I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a little getaway to the countryside. Communication with Rich & Lisa was very good and getting in to the property via the key safe was straightforward. The cottage itself was spotless on arrival and with everything we needed, including lots of information about the property & surrounding area. It is exactly as described and shown in the pictures, if not even more cute and cosy! And with lovely walks and two good pubs right around the corner it definitely ticked all our boxes!" “We had a lovely stay in the Roman Cottage. It is so homely and cosy. The log burner was a particular favourite. The surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful and walking around the village in the evening was captivating due to the beautiful countryside scenery. It was a very short drive to Bath and there were also detailed instructions in the cottage about buses and useful information about surrounding sites.
